Yahweh Faith Foundation - Board Members and Volunteers
In the early 90s, I was praying at the altar of my church in Ohio and God gave me the word “Uganda.” The Holy Spirit said, “Pray for Uganda.” At that time, I didn’t even know what Uganda was or meant. It was later I found out it’s actually a small country in Africa. Not long after that, the Lord spoke to my heart that I would be doing missions in Africa. Thirty years passed, six children, eighteen grand and thirteen great-grandchildren, and I still hadn’t done missions in Africa.
Then one Sunday in March 2023, while I was at a prayer meeting in North Carolina, the Lord gave me the Bible verse—“True religion and undefiled is to take care of the widows and the orphans” (James 1:27). I recalled a friend of mine was actually in Uganda at that time. I also felt deeply in my heart I was to somehow connect with an orphan and widow whom I might be able to help.
I called my friend and she connected me with Elijah, who’s a pastor with the United Pentecostal Churches International of Uganda. Since then, I have been working with Elijah helping widows and orphans, as he shares needs with me.
This has been a beautiful time for me, knowing I’m now fulfilling the word God spoke, and I’m faithful to pray for Uganda as well as the African ambassador purpose God called me to all those years ago. Only He knows the timing and the season of how this will continue to bear fruit.
Yahweh Faith Foundation was named by Elijah, and it is the dream and vision God had given him when he was 16 years old.
Together we work to proclaim the Gospel and to care for “the least of these”—to give them a hope and a future (Jer. 29:11) and share the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
