Fred's Story
This is Fred. Almost 9 years ago, he was born to a mother already struggling to survive, along with her other children. Fred’s father had fled the scene 6 months after his birth.
At age 35 (November ‘24), Fred’s mother died. Since then, Fred’s great-grandmother took him in, but at age 80, even she has to live with her son. She admits, “If I die, I don’t know what will happen to this boy.”
Fortunately, Yahweh Faith Foundation was able to open its doors to Fred, offering free education. At the young age of 8, he walked almost 5 miles a day in order to attend school.
This year, Fred was ready to move on to Primary school. As God provides for YFF, God provides for Fred. He is among the first 50 children attending first level Primary offered by YFF.
The tragedy of Fred’s family life - his maternal grandmother and his mother, both dying of AIDS, his lack of future stability, especially with the specter of HIV looming - left little hope for the future. But, with the Light of Christ and an educational foundation (both in academics and healthy living) supplied by Yahweh Faith, hope is found.
With support, YFF will continue to work to change the lives of the vulnerable in Uganda.
