Yahweh Faith Foundation extends help to Abigail 4 years
Abigail is a-4-year-old girl now a learner at Yahweh Faith Foundation located at
Kabusookoro village, Kyakaigo Parish, Harugongo Sub County, Burahya in
Kabarole District.
Abigail is a daughter of a morally broken-down mother Moreen (31years). Abigail’s problem is that, she is a child who was as a result of rape. Her mother was raped at the age 28 years by Patrick Kwikiriza. Her fate came about when she was working at the place of Mr. David Turinawe, where she was working as a house taker and a garden attendant. The man mentioned above tiptoed into her house at around 9pm East African time and forced her into sexual intercourse. When Moreen made an alarm, her boss David came out of the house and tried to look for Patrick Kwikiriza, the rapist but did not find him because he ran away for his life.
The following day, Moreen reported the case to police, where after, police started hunting for Patrick but could not get him anywhere. Police instead advised Moreen to go to hospital for medical examination where she was later treated and left to go back home.
She later realized that she was pregnant and after nine months she gave birth to Abigail who was diagnosed with HIV/Aids.
Later Moreen went to the nearby Protestant church to pray, that is where she learnt that there was an organization called Yahweh Faith Foundation that helps the needy children.
She visited the organization’s office and narrated her heart-breaking ordeal to us and we felt pity on her and later we decided to visit her home where she resides. After visiting her home, we found there her uncle one Robson 80 years old who was taking care of Moreen and her daughter Abigail.
Robson narrated Moreen’s story how she was being mistreated by her mother one Jennifer Kabarwani accusing her of being negligent. Robson told us that if it was not because of him, Moreen would have committed suicide because she tempted to do so three time. But the uncle kept on counseling her being an elder in a Pentecostal Church. When Abigail made 4 years, Moreen decided to go and look for another casual job in order to take care of her daughter’s basic needs since she had nobody to help
her out.
Unfortunately, the rape that led to Moreen’s pregnancy of Abigail was the second one. The first one happened when she was still 19 years of age. This incident occurred when she had gone to visit her friend in another district of Kyenjojo. She was told that her friend was inside the house, upon entering she was grabbed and raped by one Clovis Muzoora.
She reported the case to police where she was assured that the rapist was going to be arrested. She kept reporting to police but no help was given to her and until she got fade up and left the case.
She later realized that she was pregnant and the pregnancy resulted into the birth of her first child, Clerk Tukwasiibwe who is now 12 years old.
Moreen’s second born child, Evelyn Kyatungire is also fatherless.
Moreen is thankful to the Yahweh Faith Foundation for the help being extended to her daughter Abigail. She is appealing for more help for her other two children so that they can also continue studying. Abigail works 6 miles perday to and from to go to Yahweh Faith Foundation School.
Abigail wants to be a teacher after her studies. Moreen is appealing for more support in form of clothes and beddings.
Moreen says she is very week because she is a victim of HIV/Aids. She is not sure of her future’s children when she dies because she is helpless.
Moreen and her three children are on ant-retrieval Therapy (ART). She says they both need good foods because ART drugs are very strong.
